The Sandman cancelled!  

Netflix & Amazon Prime have recently decided that due to the ongoing damaging controversial allegations aimed against Writer & Producer Neil Gaiman that the plans in place relating to his hit TV shows Good Omens & The Sandman will now unfortunately have to be changed.

The second season of The Sandman will be its last, due to the show being extremely expensive to make, this decision may have been reached without the allegations but unwanted chaos has put the final nail in the coffin We will at least get to see a conclusion to the series which we can be thankful for.

These same aforementioned issues will also effect NG’s other hit TV show Good Omens, a third season of the show was planned but now that will be changed with Amazon Prime confirming that the finale of Good Omens will arrive in the form of a short 90 min movie.

Both of these announcements are of course disappointing and especially for the fans of both of these shows who have supported them & loved them since their beginnings, but personally the fact that we haven’t had a complete cancellation of both is very refreshing, that would have been the easy thing to do. Thanks to Netflix & Prime we will get to see both of these shows wrapped up properly albeit not in the forms that were originally planned, filming for the 90 minute Good Omens finale started filming at the start of this year in Scotland, no release date has been announced as of yet, but it is better news for The Sandman fans as all episodes of Season 2 have been filmed, they’re in the can & the new season is due out sometime this year, although the month of release has not yet been announced.
